Wikipedia Article Creation

Wikipedia is not an advertising channel. It is a record. Those who appear in it receive an enduring definition in Google, in the Knowledge Panel and in the answers of artificial intelligence engines. Those who do not appear in it are defined by whatever happens to remain online.

We write, edit and upgrade Wikipedia articles for companies, organizations and public figures. Before we write a single word, we check whether there is any justification for an article at all. In most cases there is not, and we say so upfront.

Request a feasibility assessmentHow we work

Most inquiries we receive are declined

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. That sounds obvious, and in practice it is the reason most articles written for payment in Israel are deleted.

The test Wikipedia applies is called encyclopedic notability. It does not examine how successful you are, how well known you are or how well the article is written. It examines one thing: have external, independent and reliable sources already covered you on their own, without your asking? If so, there is a foundation. If not, no wording will save the article.

When an article does not meet this test, it is submitted to a public notability discussion. Such a discussion lasts a week, takes place openly and sometimes proceeds to a deletion vote. Even if the article is deleted, the discussion itself remains searchable. In other words: a failed attempt to create an article is not a neutral attempt. It produces a public record of the determination that you are not important enough.

That is why the first thing we do is check this. It is an assessment that quite often ends with us saying you should not begin, and that is the most appropriate answer we can give at that moment.

What a Wikipedia article is actually worth

A Wikipedia article does not generate leads. It does something else, and in many cases something worth more: it determines what the digital system will say about you when you are not in the room.

The first result on Google

Wikipedia is one of the strongest domains in the world. An article about a person or a company tends to occupy a very high position in searches for the name, sometimes above the official website. This means that a single line on Wikipedia pushes down results you do not control.

Google's Knowledge Panel

The box that appears beside the results when you search for a familiar name relies to a large extent on Wikipedia and Wikidata, the structured database alongside it. Without a presence there, it is very difficult to create a stable Knowledge Panel. With it, you receive a panel that defines you in one line that Google has chosen to display.

What artificial intelligence engines say about you

When ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini is asked who you are, the model does not search your website. It relies on sources it considers reliable and comprehensible, and Wikipedia is among the central ones, both in training and in real-time retrieval.

That is why this service has changed over the past two years. A Wikipedia article used to be a question of prestige. Today it is a question of whether the machines mediating between the world and you hold an accurate version of you or a version assembled from fragments.

An anchor during a crisis

When something negative is published, the public looks for context. A balanced encyclopedic article, supported by sources and already in existence, is the only reference point not written in the heat of the moment. You cannot build it after the crisis has erupted. You can only regret that it was not there beforehand.

What we do

Creating a new article

Feasibility assessment, collection and mapping of sources, complete encyclopedic writing, preparation of the structure and categories, uploading and support for the article throughout community discussions. This is the core service.

Editing and updating an existing article

Old articles become outdated. Information remains stuck in the year it was written, roles change, companies are sold and new achievements go unrecorded. We update an existing article within the rules, without creating the promotional impression that causes editors to flag it.

Upgrading and expanding

A short, thin article is not neutral. It conveys a lack of importance. Proper expansion adds depth, sources, a section structure and licensed images, turning a marginal record into one that is read seriously.

Correcting inaccurate and unsupported information

Information that is not supported by a reliable source, or is presented in a non-neutral manner, can be challenged. This is not a process of deletion on request. It is a process of presenting sources and engaging in discussion. What is accurate and documented will remain even if it is unpleasant, and we will tell you that before we begin.

Internal structure, links and monitoring

Links from relevant articles, categorization, interwiki connections between languages, Wikidata synchronization and then ongoing tracking of changes, vandalism and edits that alter the picture.

Five stages

1. Feasibility assessment

A scan of everything published about you, mapping existing sources and an honest assessment of the likelihood that an article will survive. If the conclusion is negative, we will say so and suggest another path.

2. Building the source base

A good article is not good writing. It is a good archive. We collect coverage, publications, public documents and mentions, and build the infrastructure on which every sentence will rely.

3. Encyclopedic writing

Dry, balanced, documented wording. No accolades, no marketing messages and no opinion. The narrative in an encyclopedic article is not built through language; it is built through the choice of what to document and what the sources permit.

4. Uploading and managing the discussion

Uploading to the main article space, disclosure as required and professional responses to questions and comments from the editing community throughout the process.

5. Monitoring and maintenance

An article is a living document. We follow it, correct vandalism, update it as developments occur and keep the version presented to the world accurate.

How we work within the rules

Wikipedia permits paid editing on one condition: disclosure. Anyone editing for payment must disclose it, and anyone who does not disclose it violates the rules. When this is discovered, and it usually is, the result is deletion of the article and a negative mark that remains attached to it.

We operate with full disclosure. This is not an abstract moral choice; it is an operational decision. An article built through concealment is an asset with a time bomb inside it, and our clients have no interest in such an asset.

What we will not do: we will not open fake user accounts, try to conceal that we worked for a client, participate in votes on an article we wrote or claim that we can delete documented, accurate information. Nobody can. Anyone promising you otherwise is selling you risk, not a service.

Three statements you should hear before we begin

1. It is impossible to guarantee that an article will be approved.

The decision belongs to Wikipedia's editing community, not to us. We can substantially improve the chances, avoid the mistakes that kill articles and know when it is not worth trying at all. We cannot guarantee approval, and no provider in the market can.

2. It is impossible to guarantee that the article will remain as written.

Every Wikipedia article is open to editing by anyone. Others will add, remove and change things. That is precisely why the monitoring stage exists.

3. A Wikipedia article does not improve your website's Google ranking.

Outbound links from Wikipedia are marked so that they do not pass ranking authority. Anyone selling you an article as a link-building strategy either does not understand the field or assumes you do not. The real benefit is the article itself: its position in the results, the Knowledge Panel and the way artificial intelligence engines describe you.

When it makes sense to speak with us

It makes sense if:

Independent media coverage exists about you that you did not initiate. You or your organization have held a role that left public traces. Your activity has significance beyond your private sphere: regulatory, public, academic, cultural or economic, on a significant scale. Or an article about you already exists and is inaccurate, outdated or harmful to you.

It does not make sense if:

You are looking for marketing exposure. Your business is active and successful but no external publication has written about it. The only existing coverage consists of press releases you sent. Or you want to remove accurate, documented information that makes you uncomfortable.

If you are in the second category, it does not mean there is nothing to do. It means the right step is to build the public foundation that will make an article possible first. That is different work, and we do that too.

Why this belongs with us rather than a PR agency

Public relations generates movement: a story, an interview, a mention, a wave. That movement matters, and it also ends. A month later, it is pushed down in search results and forgotten.

Wikipedia works the other way around. It does not generate movement; it generates a record. A record that remains, is cited, is drawn into databases and models and continues to define you long after the story has left the headlines.

For us, a Wikipedia article is not a separate product. It is the documentation layer of broader influence work: coverage that creates sources, sources that enable an article and an article that becomes the point of truth to which all the systems return. Anyone starting at the end, meaning only with the article, usually discovers there is nothing to build it on.

Questions we are asked

Is it permitted to pay for writing a Wikipedia article?

Yes. Hebrew Wikipedia does not prohibit paid editing, but requires the editor to disclose that the editing was done for payment and identify the client. Paid editing without disclosure violates the rules and may lead to deletion of the article.

How much does a Wikipedia article cost?

There is no uniform price list in the market, and the price derives from the scope of the work: how many sources need to be collected, how complex the subject is and whether it is a new article or an update to an existing one. We quote only after a feasibility assessment, because pricing before an assessment is guesswork. If the assessment shows that the article will not survive, there will be no quotation at all.

Who qualifies for a Wikipedia article?

The criterion is called encyclopedic notability. In practice it is assessed through sources: have external, independent and reliable bodies covered the subject on their own initiative, over time and to a significant extent? Business success, sales revenue or a reputation in a field are not sufficient on their own.

How long does the process take?

The feasibility assessment takes a few days. Source collection and writing usually take several weeks and depend on the availability of materials. After uploading, a notability discussion, if opened, lasts at least a week and sometimes proceeds to a vote. Overall, the timeframe is measured in weeks, not days.

What happens if the article is deleted?

A deleted article requires a material change in circumstances before it can be uploaded again, and in practice this means a long wait and a process more complex than writing a new article. The deletion discussion itself also remains public. That is exactly why we do not upload an article we do not believe in.

Can negative information be removed from my article?

If the information is inaccurate, unsupported by a reliable source or presented in a non-neutral manner, it can be challenged and a correction requested under the rules. If the information is accurate and documented in a reliable source, it will remain. We do not sell the removal of facts.

Can I write an article about myself?

Technically, yes. In practice, it is the fastest path to deletion. Writing about yourself creates an obvious conflict of interest, tends toward a marketing tone and attracts the attention of experienced editors who recognize the pattern within minutes.

Will a Wikipedia article improve my website's Google ranking?

Not directly. Links from Wikipedia do not pass ranking authority. The effect is different: the article itself ranks highly in searches for the name, feeds Google's Knowledge Panel and serves as a central source for artificial intelligence engines.

How does this affect what ChatGPT says about me?

Language models do not read your website when asked to describe you. They rely on structured and reliable sources, and Wikipedia and Wikidata are among the most prominent. An accurate presence there is one of the most direct ways to influence how artificial intelligence systems describe a person or organization.

Do you guarantee that the article will be approved?

No. The decision belongs to the editing community. We promise an honest assessment before starting, work within the rules and professional support throughout the discussion. Anyone guaranteeing approval is selling a promise they cannot fulfill.

I have an old, outdated article. Can it be addressed?

Yes, and this is usually the simpler process. An existing article has already passed the notability test, so the work focuses on accuracy, updating and expansion within the rules.

Do you also work in English?

Yes. English Wikipedia operates under a separate policy and stricter criteria, and it is the version that actually influences international artificial intelligence engines. An article in Hebrew and an article in English are two separate projects, even when they are linked to each other.

Let us start with the right question

The question is not how much a Wikipedia article costs. The question is whether you have a foundation for an article, and if not, what needs to happen for one to exist.

Send us who you are, what your organization does and links to existing coverage, if there is any. We will come back with a straightforward answer.
